


2008 S&R Washington Award Winners announced! Composer Koji Nakano is the Grand Prize winner. Mr. Nakano, as Grand Prize Winner, will receive a $10,000 cash award and a fully-funded recital. Visual Artists Bohyun Yoon and Maro Vandorou are each recipients of the S&R Washington Award. They will both receive a $5,000 cash prize. Click here for press release.
2007 S&R Washington Award Winners announced! Violinist Tamaki Kawakubo is the Grand Prize winner. Ms. Kawakubo will receive a $5,000 cash award and a fully-funded recital at a major concert venue. Pianist Reiko Aizawa, Violinist Yura Lee, and Classical Saxophonist Otis Murphy are each recipients of the S&R Washington Award; Mr. Murphy also is the recipient of the S&R Ambassadors Award. 2006 S&R Washington Award winners announced! Violinists Sayaka Shoji & Shunské Sato are 1st and 2nd Place Grand Prize winners; both will receive $5000 cash prize & fully-funded recitals - Shoji's at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in New York, and Sato's in Washington.
